Another post about weekend? Is it just me or are my posts recently all about weekends? Well, either of the two, it would still be me. Heheh...I hope you caught my drift.
In my defense, weekends are the only time I get to write anything. Or the only time I get to think of anything besides work. And sometimes it is even used for work! My work sucks, I know. Seriously contemplating of leaving it. The only thing that's keeping me here is the flexibility it gives. The work from anywhere there is internet connection set up is really what I need. Works for me perfectly. Let's see...I was able to travel and stay Singapore for the past week without filing a vacation leave. Cool, eh?
Yes, I know... that's one weekend I owe to this blog. Ugh! I suck as a blogger. Hoping to post pictures from that trip soon. Now, on to this blogpost...
Yes, it's the end of a long weekend for me and I really don't have much to say but I didn't want to end it without saying something. The long weekend was due to Singapore Chinese New Year Holidays in Singapore. Our team in the company follows SG holidays. So, when it's holiday here in the Philippines, we're up and working. I'm really dreading tomorrow because even if it was holiday the past days, we still need to cover those days in our reports and that means really huge data packed tight in the same amount of regular work hours Argh! Stress and pressure magnified. Just thinking about it makes me want to resign on the spot. Oh, I haven't mentioned that last Thursday right before I left Singapore, I almost had a breakdown. No...let me rephrase that. I did have a breakdown. It was stress, pressure, emotional meltdown. Then as an aftermath, I guess, I had to call in sick the following day due to severe headache and a bit of fever. Remember the toothache - headache combo I mentioned before? It was magnified big time. So the long weekend was actually good timing. I had time to relax and that's what I did. Ended this long weekend with a nice massage at a recently opened spa at the Puregold near my place. Hoping to write separately about that in SheBlogger's Reviews. Crossing my fingers.
But it's not all relaxation. I still did some work, just not for "work" per se. Spent my long weekend planning... Planning what? Now, that is still a secret...
In the meantime, let me just leave you with this picture from Sentosa.
